Nice! I loved Crush, Crumble, and Chomp and The Movie Monster Game for the C64. It'll be interesting to see what you've come up with!

I haven't been into gaming in a while, but I still love watching things get destroyed(especially large buildings and religion), I'll have to check it out.

Nice I am excited about this. Any idea when we'll be able to play?

Thanks, folks! It's encouraging to see so much interest.

To village1diot: By some strange coincidence, churches are among the buildings that player-character monsters will be able to destroy in Gargantua.

To Ing: There's no set release date yet, but we expect to start closed alpha testing in a matter of weeks. I'm hoping the game will be fully operational before the end of the year, but we shall see.

I'll certainly post here again when there are major updates, but you might also want to follow the Dev journals on the Gargantua discussion forum (www.gargantuagame.com). I post there about the game almost every day.

Thanks Dee, a friend of mine is writing a "monster movie" in novel form and I know she'd be psyched when this game comes out.

I've never been an MMO kind of guy but this has piqued my curiosity. I just watched a lame-O old movie "Village of the Giants" and being a classic big monster would be awesome.

All the new super big releases (Starcraft2, Mafia2, CivV) are leaving me a bit wanting. They're awesome and polished and amazing, but I'm not having as much fun as I should be. It seems right to give a little support to the smaller pools of talent.
